Default Opinion on 9.8:1 compression pistons for boost?

whassuppp.... i have sent out a b18c gsr block to get sleeved, bored n honed, o-rings and decked. I bored it out to 83mm and ordered the wrong set of pistons but figured i might just keep them anyway, my intentions were buying 10:1 but instead i ordered 9.8:1.... so i was wondering if anybody has had any experience with this compression piston for boost? and opinions would be pretty good also THANKS IN ADVANCE!

you will be okay. u will pobably make more power due to the compression being lower.

Lower compression does not mean more power. Just a change in acceleration. You'll be fine with 9.8:1

The lower compression will be easier to tune, however the higher copression will have a little more crisp power out of boost.
I have 9.7 to 1 compression in my Type R and it does make plenty of power.

To be completely honest, i dont think you'll notice much of a difference between the 10:1 and the 9.8:1 unless you're comparing dyno charts. Your off-boost acceleration is going to be slightly slower and you'll need a little bit more boost to make the same power as the 10:1, but overall, it should still be very similar. BTW, 9.8:1 is what i'm running on my setup....if it ever runs

83mm with 9.8:1 pistons here! 425whp on pump. I love it! I'm sure you will too!

No one's going to notice a 2% change.
