Crx stalled after cold start up ....
So the other morning, I went to start my crx. It started and then stalled.
Im like WTF ?
So I started again, (engine light comes on) stalled... again.. stalled.... again...... didnt even start..
So I opened my hood, looked inside and banged with a hammer on the rear Idle air control valve, and fuel pressure regulator , went to start the car and it started and ran fine.
I searched Hondatech and found this:
take a hammer and gentley tap on your IAC, somtimes they stick, causing a initial start-up, and then to die out. If you can keep your car running with the gas pedal, but it dies out when you let off, that sounds like an Idle Air Control Valve (IAC).
Hopefully it doesnt happen again !
PS: Should I replace the Idle air control valve ?
