2 questions about b16
ok tried searching and found nothing(mabye its the way i typed it in the search i dunno)
but anyways I have a b16 in my 88CRX. Im trying to figure out some things about it from the previous owner.
Now when is v-tech sopuses to engage? I keep hearing that its sopuses to be at 5,500 rpms but I can clearly hear mine change over at about 4,700-4,800 rpms. I belive the motor is a gen 1 obd-O type system
also I hear alot of the b16 came with LSD any to check to see if mine has LSD?

I have ab16 in my 91 hatch si, it is also the 1st gen b16a1. Mine kicks in a 5200 rpms every time. Im running a PR3 ecu.
It has a chipped PR3 ecu and was kicking in at 4500rpm and was way to rich.. So I switched to stock PR3 ecu
Hope some of this helps..

Not completely true. My old 4 speed off of my d15b1 could leave two marks. At a stopsign do a burnout and turn. If you have two skids you possibly might have an lsd and if you do a one wheel wonder then you dont have an lsd. This is a more accurate way to tell then just doing a burnout.

Jack the front end up, not quite sure if it'll work depending on what type of transmission you have.
Turn one wheel, and you should see the other one eventually spin. Thats how you know its LSD.
Non LSD will not do that
