Default B18c5 trany/ 92 hatchback

Anyone intersested in a 98 itr trany with low miles no grinds ect? Can any one recommend a trany? GSR, LS? that will take me out of 4,700 rpm in 5th doing 80 mph. What are my options? i am running 17" tires and rims and use it for a daily driver on freeways and long runs ect. The gearing is strait up canyon racing gears. Yes, it chews up most v8s on the roads and freeways. It does 110 mph at redline in 3rd...stupid fast... and fast enough for racing. It lights the tires up 1st through 3rd when the vtec kicks in. I explored changin out the final drive gear but don't want to loose 1st through 3rd.. 4th and 5th are way too short. I just dont like over working the engine to get to work .. Any trany mods folks..?

what exactly are you asking here? is this a tech question or are you trying to pawn off your tranny, because this isnt the place to do so..

if you are wondering what is a good tranny, a lot of people like the B16 tranny because it has pretty short gears

I think he wants a tranny so he isnt high up in rpm's in 5th gear. b16's will be pretty high up there too. You'll want a gsr or ls. Or just put n a LS 5th in your tranny.

ok glad you got a laugh out of that. Any options to keep the 1st through 3rd ratios on a type r trany. i did see a option to change fifth out on it.. is that doable and how could I get my hands on the parts i need to change it. aftermarket ect. feedback is appreciated. Do I need to get it out of a gsr or ls trany.

dont sweat the pawn off of the LSD trans im sure i can get 2k on ebay for it lol. I prefer to keep the posi lsd anyway.
