Can you bar a jdm motor without the tag on the tranny?

Well I bought a jdm gsr motor from hmotorsonline. Since its jdm it doesnt come with that metal tag you get on a usdm transmission. I was wondering can you pass bar without it and can u just show them the receipt of where u bought it? or do you need it regardless? if so does that mean I have to buy a usdm transmission that comes with the tag?

I'm *guessing* it will pass...

My B16A2-EJ7 was built in Monterey Park and ref barred in Alhambra and it doesn't have a tranny tag!

However, I don't know how many hoops they jumped through...
