Default Carbed EF's

has anyone put a carburetor on a D series?

Just wondering. I want to put some weber side drafts with velocity stacks or something. Something creative to get rid of my DPFI.

I would like to fab a Holley 7448 carb onto my d series in order to run at my local circle track. There are not too many people in the country running this setup. I have a couple manifolds laying around. My plan originally called for a "bolt on setup", but the design resulted in a "velocity stack", which I'm guessing would have been frowned upon by tech (they pay money to win). The motor importers have engines from Japan with the factory dual carbs (d series) still on them.
Anyone else?

There's a few guys running carbs on D-series.org and Onecamonly.com(one of them is at like 160whp on a carb'd D15).

My old EF was carb'ed. All EF's here where.

I'd prefer them over a regular FI system, they also made more power as well, 72kw/104hp was the stock power rating for the d15 with the stock electronic twin carb system (PGM Dual Carb).

About a gallon a 1/4 run. I've only put about 30 miles on it on the street. With turbo blue at 6.50 a gallon I don't drive it around much. It gets some looks when I do take it out in town though. Even a cop had to pull me over and give me **** about no hood which I had to set him strait that it is legal in my state. The passenger cop walked up and shined a flashlight on the motor and said holy ****.

My new build I am working on will be a weekend street fighter though:
