Default Brake light switch, shift lock

Hello. My 92 accord ex is stuck in park (can be over-ridden with shift lock in center console) and my brake light are out. I checked all the fuses in both boxes. I know I should now check the brake switch, but I don't know what that is or where it is, other than somewhere under the dash by the brake pedal. Any help?

I have a manual transmission but my brake lights went out a bit ago, i pulled the switch from under the dash behind the brake pedal, un crimped it then removed the metal housing, remove the two contacts that hold the pin in, then clean the sliding contacts, when you put it back together make sure the springs are seated right or the pin wont recese far enough, put it back together recrimp it with pliers reinstall it, saves you about 40 bucks to fix the swicth instead of buying a new one. Might want to check it with a ohm metter diagonal pins should have one thats on when depressed and one that's open when depressed, when released the opposite is true.
