desert rats, 100 degree weather what are you wearing for gear?
Time for me to go shopping. Looking for suggestions, sadly my jacket over heats me especially when the weather hits 110 in vegas.
<-- Helmet, A* MX-1 jacket, Sidi Vertigo Corsa boots, A* SPS gloves... All day, everyday... The jacket is surprisingly cooling in the heat.. Surprised the hell out of me to be honest.

Perforated jacket. Don't stop.
I pop the shield up on my lid at lights too. Sometimes its just too hot to ride, just like sometimes its too cold or too rainy. Its doesn't get much over one hundred in the Northwest, maybe 102-103, but only for a day or two. 110, no thanks

Buy some underarmor like the spandex shirt (longsleves) and pants, helps a lot keeping the moisture whicked away, and if you have room in your jacket try a camel pack and fill the pouch with ice and water and put it under your jacket helps keep your back cool.

They sell them at Cycle Gear...for about $25 I believe. I tried them on but they didn't fit under my jeans (work jeans, not baggy), but the Fox Ventilators did fit so I got those ($20). They protected my knees well while sliding on a brick road, which tore my jeans to shreds.

Yes, they are pretty comfortable to walk around also. I have the Tepor version (the same just waterproof) and I commute daily in them.

-i've been meaning to make a post after my trip to vegas. even when we left colorado it was 38F, by mid day in utah it was 90F. i was dying in my gear, i shed the leathers....i didn't care, call me a squid. i really don't know how people can ride in 100F temps, i see the "squid thread" and the goofy replies when pictures are posted. i am SO blessed to live in the mountains......heat sucks. especially on the TL1000...seriously, it like sitting on the surface of the sun. traffic temps well above 225F....and traffic in vegas, OMG! how do you guys deal with it?
-oh btw, that was the longest 10 hours of highway riding ever. i have never done that many miles in one day before. in sept. we're going to indy, i'm taking the 1098
, 1200 miles. i really enjoy just being out riding...... whether on a track, the local spot or even highway touring. would love to take a "backway/off the beaten path" type of trip, but time and exhaustion usually mean highway miles.

on hot days i would wear:
X-11, dainese flanker/joe rocket mesh, some gay icon short gloves, setup boots, back protector.
the flanker sans liner vented REALLY well.

Any one of the top brands (Arai, Shoei) will vent very well. Also, the Scorpion EXO-700 vents really well for a helmet of his price range.

if a fat boy like myself can make it in the hot weather, any of you guys should be able to pull through it...
I wear:
HJC AC-12 Carbon
Joe Rocket Pheonix 4.0 mesh jacket, black
A* SP2 gauntlets, black
Icon Hooligan denim jeans
A* SM-X2 Boots, black
I would wear a better jacket but mesh was all i could find in my size, and as far as the riding jeans are concerned, they are the only choice for me, considering thats all i could find to fit.
but, i always wear all my "gear", any time i get on the bike, regarless of conditions or distance.
