90-91 oem sedan fogs (stanley) on 90-91 crx?
ok today i came up on one hella of a deal. i bought a complete OEM Stanley Fog light, bracket, and oem harness and button for $21.48 at a local pick n pull. my question is this since they are sedan fog lights can i use the brackets and harness on my 91 crx? i have jdm fog lights on my crx but i have a generic harness and self made brackets. the brackets on the sedan bolt up to the bumper support when on my crx the oem brackets mount the the frame.
receipt..

fog lights... only down side is one fog light is cracked.

complete set up

does anyone know if this is possible? i didnt want to take apart the entire underdash harness so i just cut off the ignition wires, with the plug intact this way i will know where to plug it into my igntion plug.

that is a good come up. i say you just try to put them on and see if they mount up and fit right. nothing bad will come form it and if they dont fit you can always buy the aftermarket ones on ebay. i forgot who the seller was but they are of very good quality. if you dont kind can you post more pics of the relay part of the harness cause i dont really know how relays work so i would just like to make one by coping one. thanks
Did you take this out yourself or was it already taken out by Pic-n-Pull? I live around the corner from this place. How did I miss this deal?
Great find, btw.

yea i memorized exactly where everything was at on the civic so i know where to mount it. i found it a bit odd but the sedan had a metal tray covering all of the under dash harness under the steering wheel. im gonna clean everything up tonight when i get home from work and post some cleaner better pics. oh yea me n my buddy had to fit off some hornets nests to get everything off. as for the broken section i was just gonna use some of the yellow laminx vinyl covering on them.

I was at Pick-n-Pull about 2 weeks or so ago and I did not see any sedan with fog lights and I've been looking for them in civics and in 88 preludes.
i have the same exact fogs that came with my crx.

they were mounted on the back of the bumper support . unlike the jdm ones where they had theirs mounted on the frame.

yea but i could honestly car less about the fogs themselves cuz im rocking these at the moment...

and i figure with the correct brackets i can have them sit perfect.

i beleive those jdm one are suppose to sit onto the frame of the car. but if thats how you wanna mount it then mount away
. but if you wanna mount them the other way, a guy makes the bracket for the ef8 fogs. think it was around 50 or so

yea i know the guy you are talkin about on ebay, he wants close to 80 shipped. im koo on paying that much for some non-oem brackets. ill try these out and see what happens.
i was actually thinking of doing what the guy on ebay did with the brackets and copy these oem brackets and remake some brand new wire harnesses. do you guys think there would be a demand?
in looking at the harness and i even semi installed it in the last 20 mins and it looks like i can even build the oem harness to plug into the oem switch. if i make em i would probably do it for 50 shipped for the harness. but lets not get into that cuz them this will be locked.
hmm. thats not a bad idea. but seeing how its easy to just wire, ground, power, switch, ignition. i would rather just make my own. UNLESS you happen to make/get some kind of switch that looks just like the oem one. that would be hot.

, I'd buy some from you right now if the price was right.
