i'm running too rich
i have a 00 Si with CTR cams, CTR ECU, VAFC, JDM ITR 4-1 header, ITR intake manifold and other little things
my car is running way too rich, u can smell it at idle. i tried to adjust the VAFC for narrow throttle to -4 all the way to 6000(VTEC crossover) but that seems to make it worse. Please someone help me

Are you sure you are running rich other than at idle? What do your plugs look like? Do you have bigger injectors, and what is your fuel pressure? Are you throwing any codes? I guess that's enough questions for now, lol. Oh wait, any grey smoke when your at WOT?
they car smells like gas after i'm done driving it. i do push it hard all the time, 8600 rpms alot
plugs look perfect, stock injectors, and stock fuel pressure even though i have a B & M. no codes at all, and no smoke
can i be since i'm using the CTR ECU, and it doesn't use the O2 sensor in the cat, that it can just be dumping fuel?

Hmm, I don't think the secondary O2 does much compared to the primary. From what I understand you are just running the Primary because the CTR only comes with one O2 sensor? Just a shot in the dark, but maybe the CTR has a different O2 sensor (voltage wise) so the tables are off. I can't help you with the VAFC tuning - haven't used one. BTW, what mods do you do exactly when this started happening?
i have both O2 sensors hooked up and plugged in where they belong
this just started a few months ago
and all these mods including the ECU have been on car for a while. Actually i think it started 1 day before i put my ITR intake manifold on, which was about 1 1/2 months ago

Now that I think about it it probably isn't O2 sensor related bacause it sounds like it is happening in open and closed loop. Do you have a fuel pressure guage? Sometimes when FPR's crap out your pressure will rise considerably. It doesn't cost much to do a dyno run. If you have on near you with a wideband O2 sensor it would be worth your time seeing what your A/F's are like. The only other thing I can think of would be a clogged cat or exhaust leak. Sometimes that will give you a fuel smell in your car. You said you took of the shield, maybe that shield was keeping the fumes out of your car.
I believe going into -'s on the V-AFC makes your car richer. When I dyno'ed my ITR I was running super rich, so we did a +6 setting from 4000 to 8000 this leaned things out very well for me. Hope that helps

what shield?
i have a Fuel pressure gauge. i also tried putt the stock FPR back on and it did nothing. the cat is brand new, cause my other one shattered. and the exhaust has no leaks, checked that last night when i changed my shocks
