4wd in honda crv
I removed the back half of mine and it was pretty easy. I cut the rear axles (they were badly rusted anyway), removed the remaining part of axles by separating the outer CV joints, removed the rear differential, and removed the driveshaft.
It was about 90lbs of weight total and a good amount of reduced rotational resistance. I guess you could just remove the driveshaft, but then you still have lots of dead weight back there and a differential to fight against.

that noise has happened ever since we bought it in 97. my goals. are to dropped the awd, make it 2wd. and then drop it about 1.5 inches and get black 16's for it. and the windows tinted and a little bit of stuff under the engine.
