HID PROJECTORS
Hey guys I have a white 4dr civic and I don't know which of these lights to install. If you have pictures of your car with either the chrome or black housing please post.

Well most projectors on the market are specifically designed to run the Halogen's because they don't wanna deal with the potential damage by the higher temperature HID setup's. Majority of after market HID setups on cars are on "halogen projectors". I ran an HID setup on halogen projectors on my last car-an xB. Ran perfect without any problems for well over a year.
That being said, the black housing looks much better, just wish they didn't come with all the extra crap like the LED's or the Halo ring crap..

First of all, HID bulbs operate at a lower temperature than Halogen bulbs. Heat would not be the issue here. I pulled this from the lighting forum:

I don't get what you're saying...aftermarket HIDs are on halogen projectors? WHAT???
If you get aftermarket HIDs for the civic, you would be getting reflector-based halogen HIDs. Sure, you can buy these ebay projectors and add and HID kit but you'll NEVER come close to an OEM application HID set up. EVER.
