Did you buy a gauge that only reads 0-35psi and no vacuum? If so, then yes, it is normal for it not to move under vacuum. Having a boost gauge that also reads vacuum is pretty useful. I would recommend sending yours back and buying a gauge that reads both vacuum and boost.

i just checked there are no leaks as soon as i get to 5000 rpms the car sounds like it boogs out and the blow off valve blows off as soon as you start to throttle would that have any reason that the gauge doesnt read any boost i even have a manual boost controller i turned it clockwise and the gauge doesnt move but if you unhook the gauge and blow in it the needle moves like to 2 pounds and the gauge is mechanicak boost pressure psi 0-35 no vacuum is there any way to hook it up for now to pressure because it seems like it dont move on vacuum anyone near lansdowne or morrell park that knows about this

Puncuation, pleeeeeeease? I think you said the BOV is going off at 5k RPM while on throttle. Adjust the spring to a stiffer rate

Is this car tuned? my guess is no. but anyway... a 0-35 boost guage is not going to read or move at all under vacuum, it only reads boost... sounds like you need to adjust your blowoff valve also, it should not be releasing pressure until the throttle is closed

Lack of tuning will cause your bogging issue.

ok i fixed the bov. it only blows out when letting off the throtle and no its not tune i only drove the car around the block to see if the gauge moves after i get the gauge to read then i will take it to tony's custom exhaust to get converter to the downpipe. then i will get it tuned. if it matters i have a 92 civic cx with b18a1, engine limited slip, dsm 450 injectors resistor box ecu programmed for every thing. skunk 2 intake manifold, type r crank pulley msd external coil and plugs ngk irridium plugs. so should that gauge read boost .is there anything else i can check to ive read lots of forums.t3 turbo ar 48 52

after install the turbo i can hear it spooling ive checked for leaks when i drove it in first gear as soon as it hits 5000 rpms it sounds something like its redline but its not.is there another way to see if it is building boost. thanks again guys i can fix anything on a car but dont know to much about turbo. if its anything im leaving out let me know . if anyones knows thats leaving near baltimore maryland that can call me my cell 4104120706 names jason

ok i just drove the car as i was driving about 4000 rpms the boostgauge went to 5 lbs and starting getting more power than it stoped about 5000-5500 rpms any suggestions i probably should of mentioned this before i have only 3 inch downpipe hooked no converter yet i didnt want to mess anything up on the way to get the high flow converter on and i have a vision fuel pressure regulator with liquid gauge it reads 42 psi and dsm 450 cc injectors with resistor box and i sent my computer to canada and had it set up for my setup i have a new oxygen sensor and air fuel gauge by autometer will this work enough to get it tuned after the exhaust is finished. thanks again all you guys i will go straight to get it tuned after converters on i havent driving much just around the block two times to see if the gauge read anything. if any one in marylands looking fo a car i also have a 1991 civic si with b16a1 engine with tokio shocks ebich springs energy suspension camber front and back all installed 3 18 inch wheels one was messed up in small accident has bodykit on rear and sides front got messed up has oem front bumper needs to be on frame alighment passenger side is bent down about 1 and a half inches my civic needs some body work and painting i will trade if someone can do it for me call me at 4104120706 baltimore maryland if anybody interrested

thanks for everything the car is ok now boosting at 8 lbs i feel alot of power but the turbo doesnt kick in to 3800 rpms. its a 92 civic cx with integra b18a1 bottom half motor and b 18 b top half with limited slip a t3 turbo with 42-48 a/r 3 inch downpipe high flow cat 2.5 exhaust 450 dsm injectors with resistor box. vision fuel pressure regulator with liquid gauge chipped ecu, skunk 2 intake manifold , type r crank pulley, msd external coil plug wires irridium spark plugs gapped at .030 my fuel pressure reads 45 psi is that to much or not enough. does anyone know anywhere in baltimore maryland or near that will tune with just chipped ecu ive called a couple of places and they said i need aem or hondata for their software. Ive looked on lots of forums about the fuel pressure but didnt find what i was looking for . my main question is with this setup what should my fuel pressure be set on and thanks again for any info.

Your fuel pressure is fine where it's at. Do you have a 255lph fuel pump. If not, I suggest you get it since you're going to max out your stock fuel pump. And that tiny t3 turbo should be building boost pretty fast on a b18. Are you full throttling it or just part throttle? But use some puncuation next time than maybe more people can understand you more clearly to give you more advise.

Ok when i full throttle it and watch the boost gauge it doesnt seam to get boost until 3800 rpms than the boost gauge reads 8 psi, and if i keep it full throttle it sounds like it either get to much gas or not enough, but it seems to go faster when i and part throttle.Oh and i just installed a bosch fuel pump

any suggestions thanks again everybody on honda-tech
