Default B18B1+trans+ecu in to '92 CX Hatchback.

Did some searching, browsed the stickies, and found no clear info on swapping the running gear out of a 94LS in to a 92 CX. Maybe I looked over a link or something.

I have the 94LS parts car in my shop, and my buddy wants the motor+trans+ecu in his civic....

I'm going to safely assume that I leave the motor and trans intact, with harnesses, because it should all be a direct swap apart form having to mix-n-match a few motor mounts. ECU should be a direct swap as well. I will be keeping P/S, obviously no A/C. I also believe that I can re-use the b18b1's intermediate shaft and axles.

Is this swap pretty much plug-and-play apart from mixing the engine mounts? Do I use the Integra's shift linkage+shift stabilizer linkage+shifter? Is there other details or changes I need to make?

Thanks in advance to those who offer their advice/answers.

Integra driver's side mount & bracket, and the rear mount bracket. Then you use the rest of the Civic mounts. You are correct on the axles and intermediate shaft, as well as using the Integra shift linkage/etc. You could use either harness, but just make sure that the 4-wire O2 sensor is wired up, because all '92-'95 CX's (other than the California version) only had a 1-wire O2 sensor. The CX's also don't have P/S.

So if I'm re-using the b1's engine harness and o2 sensor...I don't need to do any re-wiring?

Yah, I know the 92 CX doesn't have power steering...and I'm not sure why I said I'd be using it, haha.

I just need my las post answered, I'm fairly clear on the rest of the swap.

I beleive you need to wire the 4 wire o2 sensor up. No vtec wire needed. correct me if i am wrong.

I seem to remember someone saying that the '92s are also prewired at the shock tower plug for a 4-wire O2 sensor, in addition to vtec. I personally don't know for sure.

I will be re-using the b18b1's engine harness...it won't be removed from the motor at all during swap. I'd imagine the plug for the o2 sensor is on that harness...so do I just plug the o2 sensor into the harness like it is on the 94LS and call it a day, or is there wires that need to be pinned into the ecu harness plugs?

I'll look in to that. Hopefully that's true because I have no idea where I would pin those 4 wires, if that is what I'd have to do.

it is a direct swap using everything from the Integra such as:

all the Integra mounts. you don't have to mix and match I don't know why someone told you that. however the tranny mount and rear mount are the same on both

complete Integra shift linkage

throttle cable

intermediate shaft and both axles

engine harness just plug it up at the shock towers

ecu

and other little bits like radiator hoses etc.

Awesome, thanks.

If I run into any issues I'll post an update. Sounds like I don't need anything else, though.
