2000 CRV low compression in #1
A friend has this problem. engine has 72,000 miles.
Mechanic (trusted) did a leak down test and #1 loses I think she said 15% does that sound right?
The mechanic is getting a bor-o-scope late next week and will take a look and photo's inside. We'll wait until he can do that before I pull the head and have a valve job done on it.
I read in another post here that B20's have been known to burn exhaust valves.
Do you think that is what happened here?

I would start with checking the valve adjustment, just check it. If it is way out of spec then you will need to replace the head. There is a tsb.... although Im not sure if the 2000 model is in this tsb but I think it is. I will look and re-post.
