Default 98' Honda Accord Stoplight switch

Thought i'd post this for public record someplace since my google searches didnt bring anything up.

My brake lights stopped working, so i checked fuses and relays, then checked the stoplight switch with an ohm meter, only two of the 4 connection on it got a change from on/off possition, one is supposed to break continuity and the other is supposed to supply power to the lights i think, so i broke the clamp with pliers (accidently broke the hook up, but know to grip it with pliers around the round part now) and the leads come off so that the piston will come out, the leads that make a connection seemed to have a bit of grease on them (not sure if this thing is supposed to break or not) i cleaned them put it back together and my brake lights work once more, without having to spend $40 on a new switch.

Hope this helps someone else, i got help when my fuel pump relay went out, causing my car not to start everytime, and i saw that i just had to resolder it, so i thought i'd post this
