Default VTEC PROBLEM

hi guys.

i have a problem on vtec system on a B16A2. when i'm driving sometimes it enters at 5500 rpm and sometimes at 6500 rpm, but when in vtec the car don't seems to go better than no vtec zone.
which is the correct rpm range for vtec? tks

what ecu are you on? do you hear vtec engage? for that car 5500-5800 should be about right.

i hear vtec enge but seems that engine dont "pushes"
the ecu is the original one with hondata module

my friend had the same problem, oil wasnt even touching the dip stick, throw some oil in there and maybe it will keep up the oil pressure to switch over to vtec? since then it has worked problem free

if oil pressure is low it shouldn't engage - check oil pressure - are you throwing any codes?

problem solved! I was the solenoid connector not plugged in correctly now it engages at 5500 rpm
