I know there are threads on this already, but none of them that I could find covered my situation. I know our windows start going up slow when the regulator starts heading out. I was going to spray some lithium grease on the tracks and see if that helped. I do have 2 questions though. I don't remember how fast they went up when the car was new, was it still pretty slow? My girls Isuzu Rodeo's windows go up pretty quick. After I grease up the tracks, or worst case, replace the regulators, will they go up fast too or will they still be kinda of slow? Also, when my driver side window is rolled all the way up, it bulges out and comes off track a little. There is about 1/4" opening where it pushes past the weather stripping. Would replacing the stripping help this? Does it mean the window needs adjusted? It will go up all the way, tehn about 2-3" from the top it seems to push out. Also when I grease the tracks, just do the edge of the windows? Should I use lithium grease or WD-40?
I'm in the same situation you are now. I actually used silicone spray on the weatherstripping and the tracks and the windows go up faster (not as fast as other cars though). It also fixed the problem with the bulging window. I don't know how the windows were when the car was new though.
