Default higher mileage s2000

i was considering getting an s2000 with 95000 miles on it. just wondering if there is any concerns with them once the miles start adding on. oh yeah, when should the timing chain be changed also?
thanks

95k is not that bad assuming it's an ap1 with high miles.I guess if you can get it for a good price it's worth it...

the s2000 is still a honda...as long as it was maintained correctly, it will go forever (and burn oil)

You see civic's and teg's with 200-300k+ so imagin what improvements were made with 10 or so years of innovation...

Routine maint. Goes a long way.

It's all in how the car was maintained. It will burn oil, but what AP1 doesn't from the factory? I'm at 95k and it runs like a champ. (I bought it with 48k on it though)

timing chains are recommended to be checked by factor and possibly changed, belts need changing much more often, but timing chains, ive never heard of one braking. the tensioner sounds more probable as a problem. 95k on an s2k not bad, i got mine at 90k, and now at 117, its perfect. i just changed out the clutch but i knew it was goign when i bought it, did it myself took about 18 hours of straight work, love it and works great good luck in ur venture for s2k supremacy, bitch.

thanx for all the input to everyone. alittle piece of mind makes a huge difference in the purchase. turns out i lost out on the one that i was originally looking at. but i think ill keep looking for one with alittle more miles on it for alittle less cash.
