Default OBD0 to OBD1 wiring gurus please chime in!!!

i've been rewiring the entire harness and its getting really frustrating. Wish i've simply bought a conversion harness instead and plug and play with no issues!

Anyways, i've used a JDM EF8 harness on my EF7 crx with B20vtec, quad throttles n Hondata S300. i chose the EF8 harness to retain the Aircon etc, (Thought it would have been a good idea) But i was apparently wrong. Should have simply used an EG harness instead.

So i went ahead to splice wires on the harness to fit in the OBD1 plugs for the Hondata S300.

1.) First problem was the wrong info i got off the net for OBD0 to OBD1 distributor wiring. The only potential problem is the two white wires from OBD0 side. My OBD0 side, both the white wires are the same size, but one white wire which is on the other side of the plug on its own has a red strap right after the plug, it could be the one connected to the OBD1 green/yellow.

2.) Will the engine fire up if the 4wire 02 sensor isnt wired in?

3.) I tried cranking the engine but it doesnt start, however, when i turn my key back 1 step, a loud gush of air was shot out of my quad throttles, they could be the injectors firing or something, why does this happen when i switch off my ignition? It happens instantly when i switch off my ignition after cranking.

How come you didn't just use a obd0 to obd1 conversion harness?

Yes the car will still run without a o2 sensor, it will just throw a code. If the car cranks and doesn't start for the white wire just switch them up.

3) I dont know could be air still in the engine from cranking? maybe...?

http://www.ff-squad.com/technet/wiring.obd1.htm shows you obd1 pinout and color. Obd0 I dont know about. (which means I didn't look hard enough.)

The air is no big deal, it is simply your engine depressurizing....
It would do the same thing if your entire intake was on only you would'nt hear it.

Not starting though...umm....wow. No idea, too many things to check if the wiring is wrong.

I'll try swapping the white wires.

The OBD0 harness has two ignition inputs to the ECU, Pin B15 and B17. Are they they same? Should i just connect to just one of them?

funny thing is it only happens when i switch off the ignition, i'm just curious why it happens only after i switch it off?

This is the correct way to repin the dizzy plug. This was verified by ryan of rywire

Obd0 to obd1 conversion
Obd0 obd1

Thickwhite--yellow/gre
en
Thin white-- white
Orange------ orange
White/blu--- white/blu
Blu/yellow-- blu/yellow
Blu/green--- blu/green
Orange/blue-orange/blue

The 'thick white' wire in the engine harness may not be so thick you're right, but it is by itself in the loom. The rest of the distributor wires are together but this one is off by itself. You'll see what I mean if you pull the loom back a bit

hi, need help urgently

the engine finally started but its on limp mode. wont rev pass 4k.
I've not connected the purge control, idle control wires because i'm running Jenvey throttle bodies.

I've checked and double checked the O2 sensor wiring should be wired correctly. How to check if the O2 sensor is working?

Do i have to reset the Hondata s300?

thanks guys.
