Default can i reuse drained oil?

i just changed my oil like last week, i'm gunna be turboing my car in a few weeks and i'm gunna have to drain all of it when i install my kit. i'd hat to have to use all new oil again, so is there anyway i could reuse my drained oil? or is that a really bad idea?

i would say just use new oil, to avoid any contaminants while the oil is out of the car, the $30 or so you would save on 4 or 5 quarts of oil isnt worth a blown or dammaged motor

imo if i was throwing on a turbo id just buy new oil. but i suppose get a new container to drain it in so it stays clean. again not what i would do but i dont see how it could hurt unless it gets contaminated somehow.

No need for a new filter.

For the money I would get new oil. Not worth spending time/money perfectly cleaning out a drain pan, getting funnels, and getting strainers.

Just do the right thing and bring it back to a proper recycling place. Or use it in your snow blower. Lube some door hinges with it maybe. Stick it in a small squirt bottle and lube all latches/moving parts in your car perhaps?

And don't feel bad, you only need about 3.5qt of Mobile 1. Some of my oil changes involve about 10-12qt of synthetic that is more expensive than M1. It's life.
