Vaccume hose disconnected.. Where does it go?

Vaccume hose disconnected.. Where does it go?
There is a big black cylindrical thing underneath the fuel filter that has a bunch of hoses/lines coming off of it. There is one regular sized rubber vacuum hose hanging off of it going to nowhere. does anyone have an idea?
