94 Prelude Vtec...exhaust fitment. (Help!)
Sup fellas...i'm new to the whole honda scene. I currently own two 240sx, but just picked up a 94 honda prelude (vtec). The exhaust has a horrible leak and needs to be replaced. Now the exhaust i'm looking into is the SUPER MEDALION RACING. For some odd reason, it states that it's only for (Non-vtec's). My question is, would it matter?? Would fitment be an issue? What other exhaust systems do you guys recommend. I'm aiming towards the non-canister type exhaust systems and perferably something more quiet and tame looking...any help would be great. Thanks.
i wouldnt trust a product that specifies its non- Vtec.
There are a couple none vtec systems for the lude.
A H23 is a non vtec but the exhaust system will bolt right up.
There are a few f series blocks too, which will not.
My advice build a custom system from your choice products, Vibrant or Magnaflow.

Thanks for replying...but if the exhaust is designed for 4th gen preludes then wouldn't they have similiar/exact same layout? What's your opinion on the greddy SP2?
^no acutally you can use any model 4th gen (92-96) exhaust on any 4th gen.
they will all work....it is the flange on the front side of the cat that is different.
my WS2 was labeled VTEC when i got it, and it fits my car fine.
Greddy SP2
Apexi World Sport 2
RsR ex-mag
and the Tanabe
will all be pretty quiet

So you're saying the super hyper medalion may be able to fit on my car...would there be any fitment issues? If so, in what areas? Thanks.
Yeah I dont see any reason why a non vtec exhaust wouldnt fit. I had a h23 stock exhaust system bolted up to my h22. That includes the cat too. If anything just bring it to the muffler shop and have them weld it up. BTW I just installed my RSR exmag about a week ago and it is SUPER quiet. Awesome sound, just not loud AT ALL.

I never said it wouldnt fit GreenLude.
I said I wouldnt trust.
The single cam preludes out there dont bolt up to the cat. The exhaust lay outs are the same but not where they bolt to the downpipe. Or cat depends on the setup and what it is.
