the sound is coming from my roof. when i take the roof off the car stops rattling but when its on I hear constant LOUD rattling all the time. Do any of you experience this? If so, what are some ways for me to fix this issue? Is there somethign I can do to minimize the noise?

you can try some silicone grease on your seals, that should puff them up a bit and make your roof fit tighter. Do it a few times over a week, and it should help a bit.

If its pre 95, you may conceder getting 95+ front roof seals, they seal better than the older ones.

But I only read that, I haven't changed mine yet, but I did get less noise, and water leaks once I started using the silicone.

If you take off the plastic panels there is a push rod mechanism in there, there might be a lose bolt ect. causing your rattling noise.

 

okay i'll try to take apart the hood and see what i can do to repair it. where can i get new seals from? the seals are those rubber things on the edges of the targa top right?

i wouldnt doubt its from ur sun visors IMHO 2wheelhunters did the same thing when he hit bumps and i was looking around to see what i coulda been and it was that

 

nah its definately not the sun visor. i took apart the whole roof this morning and added additional material to absorb any vibration. then i screwed everything a bit tighter.

I put the top back on and i still get noise so i'm thinking maybe its something thats on my car thats making the rattling. maybe its not holding hte hood in place good enough?
