Did all the F22a motors have aluminum blocks?

Default Did all the F22a motors have aluminum blocks?

Just like the title says, were they all aluminum? The one in my 90 is but I could have sworn the other day I had one in the shop that wasnt. Figured someone on here would know.

Yes, they are all aluminum open deck cast iron sleeve block engines

That being said, 89 was the last of the A20** closed deck, iron blocked Accords & Preludes. If you had a late 80's Accord or Prelude in your shop you may have had an iron block PGM-FI A20A3 or 4.
