Default >>i need some help please<<

i have a 91 civic hatch si and recently put a b16a with innovative mounts and when i turn on the car i idles at 2k and 15hundred when warm and stays that high. i tried messing around with the idle control, messed with my timing, and my tps but still high. also when idle is sounds like my engine is rubbing against something and causes a lot of vibration on the car and my alternator clears the engine bay. also when i put the engine in i dont know if the crank pulley is supposed to be rubbing against my stock torsion bar(crossmember bar) please any help would be great.

well your crank pulley shouldnt be rubbing the crossmember with just a B16, I'm guessing that its rubbing the radius rod. are all the mounts torqued down?

and for the idle issue check for vaccum leaks and look here

I'm guessing your crank pulley just has one too many accessory belt lines on it. Some of those b16a's come out of cars with power steering AND ac. You might want to look into a ctr N1 crank pulley or just having your pulley machined down to a single belt

savage are you going to get the motor bar'd by a referee soon.

I have a 91 hatch si with b16a1 motor with innovative motor mounts. I was told I have to convert everything to a del sol vtec to pass, what where you told.

check for vaccum leaks, spray some wd40 around and see if the idle increases, usually the intake manifold gasket is the one that goes bad, dont use brake clean or tb cleaner to look for leaks that thing is way too flamable.
