stock block gsr turbo am I using the right transmission? itr
i currently own a 95 gsr before it was turbo'd I was into all motor and my clutch went out, so i replaced it with 6puck sprung clutch, while replacing the clutch I said heck with it might as well throw my itr transmission in there.
itr transmission stock lsd, ats 4.9 fd, ats 3.077 1st gear.
it was running extremely well with the new transmission, the acceleration was great, I was then more hungry for power so I had a turbonetics t3/t4 installed .38mm trim waste gate. after dyno tunning it i am running 204whp
setup is
bone stock gsr with the turbo added on, and transmission. My tuner said the exhaust was really choking me up. but I did not mind. I see most gsr's get 250 whp and what he told me is 230 whp is the most I would want because anymore would cause problems to the gsr cast pistons. being that reliability is my number 1 concern.
is this true?
and last but not least should i get a gsr transmission? my gears are extremely short and is in general used for an all motor application. I heard longer gears would be better because you would want to be in boost longer is this correct? or should i keep my itr one on?
