Differences in B series swap mounts.
Here is the deal.
I swapped the B17 into my CRX about 1.5 years ago. I used the Innovative mounts. I really like these mounts with the exception of one thing. It seems that the engine position is a little on the high side so the valve cover rubs on the hood insulation. I don't want to remove the insulation for fear that it will allow the stiffening ribs of the hood to rub on the valve cover.
The question is, Does this happen with the Hasport mounts, and does anyone else have this issue?
I am tired of having to push down on the hood to get it unlatched. I am also seriously thinking about swapping the 17 to my EF hatch, so this would be the opportune tine to switch mounts if it would solve the problem. I guess I could just shim my Innovative mounts so that the engine sits a little lower, but I would rather not have to resort to that.
