Default best drag racing susp setup

Ive done a search and cant get any straight answers on this. What would everyone use or what do you use as far as springs/coilovers, shocks, and anything else that goes along with it. (On a budget) Bushings are a given, but are there any other small things that you would do for a pure race car that sees no street duty. Has anyone tried to use just a straight metal rod or tube for back shocks? I am just trying to decide on my ideal setup.

I had a daily driven allmotor crx with consistent 1.70 60ft times. I had kyb(silver) front and back with skunk2 coilovers. 450lbs in the front and 900lbs in the rear.
I have a friend that was getting 1.60s full race allmotor same suspension except he put ratcheting type tie downs(small ones) from the top chassis to the fork in the front. If you will be using wheelie bars, my cousin's race car gets 1.5 60ft times (quick 8 car) with front kyb agx on 900lb skunk2 coilovers with some jegs.com 80lb springs in rear. But then again it also depends on the cars power, slicks sizing, and clutch. Hope this helps.

a good set up for the street/styrip is koni yellows, tokico 5-ways, with skunk springs. I like the drag springs for the rear. I think they are a bit more than 900 lb's too, not sure howmuch though

What do most of the pros in the all motor class run? Maybe I havent looked all that hard or noticed it but do many of them use wheelie bars?

when my car was daily driven. all I was using were stock shocks with intrax springs.
the rears were switched out with solid suspension at the track.
SOHC ALL MOTOR 1.7 60 fts on 14" and 13" slicks.

DO NOT DO THIS. Way to dangerous. You got to stop the car also.

yeah its not the "best" way to get good 60s. it was so budget back then.
And it is illegal in the classes.

but we all went through it all sometime.. i remember when alot of the PRO racers were strapping the suspension down or welding the shocks back in the day.
