Default prelude suspension parts

I would like to introduce myself to the accord forum. I am the proud new owner of a 94 ex 5sp as of this morning. Coupe, 168k, honda maintenance records starting at 1994 and ending in 2007.
I ahve a buddy with a totaled prelude that has tokico illuminas and sleeve coils on it. I know the fronts are rumored to be a direct replacement. I hear the rears are different. Very different or just slightly? Can i use them? I have a buddy who put prelude s-techs onto his g/fs accord. Does this mean i could use the rear sleeve coils just not the strut? I DO NOT want to tear both cars apart just to leave with the same ride height.

From what I remember, they do not fit. 94-97 Accord have a slight problem of rubbing around the spring seat area compared to most Civics and Preludes. That's why some of the old Accord and Prelude parts can be fitted but not ours.

update. Fronts are in. To put the fronts in i had to switch to the accord top hat. As in, i used the strut off the prelude with the spring, and just took of the prelude top hat and put my accord one on. Looking to do rears either sunday or monday, more updates to come.

Default eff my life

Update on the backs, the prelude top hats fit into the tower, and must be used on the stock strut to fit prelude springs. The bottom of the prelude strut is quite a bit different as it has a wider "U" with a larger dia. bolt that runs through. I am using the stocks for now, but my mission is to drill out the u to fit a steel adapter for the accord size bolt then use washers to space U evenly so it fits tight. Wont be updated for awhile, but pics should be in the slammed thread as of sunday

Just out of curiosity why do this?

You could easily buy Koni yellows and just use stiffer springs? Or was it just "I can get this stuff cheap" type deal?

^^yeah, so true. The fronts werent much trouble at all, i just swapped top hats, even the brake tie downs lined up, the rears were quite a bit different though, i may end up just buying 1 pair of tokikos.

yeah, to be honest, if i could do it again i probably wouldnt have done it, but the kid cut me a super good deal and the front feels good, the back bounces alot though. Id like to try to make the rear tokicos work with some modifying.
