starter/alternator differences w/ h22/h23
The alternator pulleys are different, H22 has 6 ribs while the H23 has 5. Starter should be exactly the same.
you need to count ribs on the belt or grooves on the pully. The two need to match. But if you run an H22 crank pully and alt but h23 a/c compressor you can run an H23 narrower belt with no problems.
Yes you can put the alts on either motor, you will just have to compinsate with a diffrent rib belt if you use a h23 alt on a h22 motor(5 rib).
H23 motor with h22 alt( 5 rib) as well
H23 motor with h22 alt( 5 rib) as well
yeah I had to swap the h23 crank pully onto the h22 so that my a/c compressor would work. then I jjust swapped the rrest of the pullies.
