During normal acceleration in 3rd gear the car is beginning to stutter/hesitate as if the car is going to stall out. It feels like I am releasing and then pressing the gas pedal quickly. If I put more pressure on the gas pedal it does not help the problem, only makes it worse. There does not seem to be a problem in first, second, fourth or fifth gears. Its a 2001 motor/tranny with 30K miles. Can someone please help me?????

 

after some more experimenting I have found that the car stutters/bogs out in 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 5th gears. Furthermore, it will only due this between 2000 - 3000 rpms and when I am trying to open up the throttle in an attempt to accelerate a little quicker, not flooring it though. Any thoughts???

 

could be ur throw out bearing a couple of my friends have had that problem and i makes like a shuttering type of sound but ya its a pretty nasty sound. hopefully that helps man
