ok so this came out of nowhere but now my motor has a small oil leak and tranny is making tons of different random noises and slipping like theres no tommorow i have no idea what to do someonne help me out please

 

where is the oil leak coming from?
and check your tranny oil

 

i have no idea like it seems lik its from there or the oil pan im not sure

 

more info??? what kind of noise, try cleaning near the leak with some brake cleaner or degreaser and LOOK for where the leak is coming from, we cant look at your car for you

 

like i know that i need to replace my throwout bearing if that helps at all...sometimes it spits out of 2nd gear when i dwn shift and it seems like its coming by the where the tranny and block connect

 

I had a similar problem years ago when i did my swap.....fourth and fifth gear would throw out going down the road. that is caused by not having enough Honda MTL in there...Manual Transmission Lube. I think my car takes 3 quarts. but that dosen't solve the leak. If it is under warranty...take it to the shop. if not, look at the tranny fill plug...that's where my problem was...bolt not tight enough. otherwise, look for cracks in the tranny, or it may be coming from where the throw out bearing is.

 

hey, didn't realize you were in OC...just got home from there...went to the car show.

 

hopefully thats its i didne even know manuals had any kind of fluid lol but ya where is the plug located at on the tanny and can you just get the lube at a honda dealership

 

Check the oil level in your trans, but if its slipping really badly I would bet its low on oil, which will in turn cause your syncro's to heat up pretty badly and wear very quickly which would cause slipping and more noticaly be harder to shift unless your rpm's are closely matched.

As for the leak its possible its the main seal on the motor, but I would bet its the seal on the transmission side.

There is an inspecion plate on the bottom of the trans you can take off, its two bolts if I remember right and you can better see where the oil is coming from.

 

o ya haha well actuall im from bethany but oc is more noticed haha so i put that

 

ya cause at some points it was really really hard to get it in gear like at a stop light....like i had to mess with it a lot to get it in gear

 

also since im doppimg my tranny shold i replace the clutch i was thinking about getting exedy oem replacement kit
