ok, here the dealy, went to get soem pizzas last night, and when i got back to the spot, my oil light came on, blinked and ish..? now my oil level looks pretty good to me, and mean it was maybe a lil low, but no way to the point the light would come one, i mean it was 3 quarters on the stick.... and went out today to get grocerys and it was doing the same thing, kinda scared me a little, checked oil was still fine, i dont understand it..? help me out ...dont want it to blow up, right under my nose

could be an oil pressure switch problem or could be your oil pump taking a crap, also the connector on the oil pressure switch might not be making good contact, causing it to flicker. i would first check the connection, its on the back of the block then you can either take it some where so they can check the oil pressure or just start with a switch, it should be a 24mm socket ,wrench ....w.e good luck let me know!

that light is a dummy light it only turn on when you go around 15 lbs of pressure and by that time your moto is cooked
do you change your own oil? how long ago was your chage?
sometimes when you take it to a shop and they use rvt they use too much and it gets in your oil
try getting the pressure sender checked or if you can, take the down pipe off (if its stock) and then the oil pan off (keep in mind that if its auto it would be a hell of a lot easier to take the transmissions plate guard off first) and see if the oil screen is clogged

i dont think i cooked the moto, it was running fine, and light comes an goes, but just started doing this so i just kinda wanted to be on top of it...some on else told me to check the pressure switch, but you need a special socket? whats a good tech to check oil pressure, with out installed gauges? is there any?

its takes a special socket or you coulda read what i said and use a 24

ok..i asked my tech, and he told me to pull the oil cap and start it up , look for droplets to spray out, to determine it the pressure is good, it was, im sure it a sensor...as of now, never the less im changing it out on friday, when i do my drivers side axel as well, my other buddie told me it was a special tool, thats why i asked, no need to tear **** up ya know...thanks..ill let you know.....

or you could use a 24 and it works just a good!
