Default 04 Kawasaki Z1000

So I guess its about that time to thin out the herd. As I will be moving around the country in the next few months with little opportunity to ride I think it wise for me to sell my two-wheeled love.

New or first time riders need not apply as this is ALOT of bike for a newbie to handle. Maybe tell your friend who is itching to get back in the saddle.

2004 Kawasaki Z1000
~120bhp
~6,400 miles

-oil changed religiously
-new tires front and back
-New Twin Scorpion Race exhaust
-rear fender eliminator
--integrated turns signals in rear
-comes with both passenger seat and seat cowl delete
-rear spools
-will toss in front and rear stand if desired
-recent brake fluids
-clutch like new
-MAYBE one or two scratches on it
-waxed regularly
(I might be able to rub out what scratches on on it as they are all really shallow. I'll probably do that anyway before pick up along with my usual waxing treatment)

Bike is pretty much a rocket (engine based on the legendary zx900 motor [bored to 953]) without the unnecessary fairings. so essentially you get a supersport bike with the lower insurance rate of a standard tourer.

Looking for $5,200

I would say also that the price is slightly negotiable but lets not go nuts!

Also I could deliver within 100miles for cost of gas.

When you put it on the dyno for that number, what'd the torque curve look like? could you post the sheet?

I know man... its all paid off, insurance isn't bad, and its a hell of a bike...

Got my commission and bar this may. Got nothing but school for the next 6 months (maybe more if I can get an airborne/air assault slot) and after that I'm headed to Ft. Irwin for my permanent duty station. It would be a total bitch to move it along with my car/truck. I figure I can get some money for it and prob use it to help put a down payment on a house when I head out to California. *sigh*

If all else fails I'll put the CRX into storage and move the truck and bike to Cali and send for the CRX later. I would hope however considering the condition of the bike it will sell.

Just sold her for my asking price.

But I just had to sell it on one of the rare gorgeous Chicago days.

Not sure. Possibly a kwacker, just to say I've owned at least one of each of the Japanese Big Four.

I was on a similar situation, but decided to buy my CB400 because I thought a ZX-7R would be too much for me coming from a 225 dualsport.

Even though, I'm always on the lookout for one.

for me it wasn't so much the size of the bike. at this point I have enough experience that I can ride any bike. But the actual location of the bike, 150+miles each way from my house and there was no one I know who had ~8 hours today to go with me to get it.

That **** sucks. I know what you mean. Sometimes I find a nice bike, with the right price but it's in another city 5 hours away.

Once I was going to do a trip to a city 7 hours away to buy a bike...but then I found something more local.

and a little whoring since i got my new wheels and added more carbon fiber all around

^ Holy ****, that is a beautiful bike. If your bike looks like that, I'd love to see what you drive
