Default Gsr motor, Found Little clip in oil pan?

Well we were dropping the oil pan on my gsr. to tap for a turbo line, and in the pan we found this little silver C Clip looking thing? what could it be,its about the size ofa penny id say, cell camera FTL

Is your motor Built? Looks like a wrist pin lock

No the motor is stock, ive never heard of of a wristpin clip comming out before, is it common? i could see that if maybe it was built it was installed incorrectly but the motors all stock

No it shouldnt fall off, if the motor has stock piston and rods they are pressed in so they dont use clips.

Hmm, any ideas on what else it could be?

The piece seems a little flimsy i dono if it would be a wrist pin lock, like i can bend it easily with my fingers
