Clutch relpacement question.
Should the clutch disc be touching the fly-wheel and pressure plate before I re-mount the tranny?
(First clutch job and just lookin for some insite.)

duh dee da dee... hahaha. the pressure plate releases the clutch disc from the flywheel which allows the gear to be shifted, then the release of the clutch peddle applys the disk back to the flywheel and plate, in gear. So of course when installin a new clutch disk it should be firm against the flywheel and pressure plate, unlike the old disssssk that was just raddling around.
P.S. Just make sure you have a clutch alignment tool handy or you might find yourself, well... F@&%$D!

correct... then just make sure your clutch cable is adjusted after you finish, or you will think you jacked something up.
