As stated. My buddy and I are getting code 19 which H-T resources say is Automatic Transmission Lock-up Solenoid. The ECU is a P28 and the last three Characters are A01. I promise. The resistors have not been modified and are Manual as well. Does anyone have any ideas as to why we would get code 19 on an ecu that truely is manual already???

 

is the P28 chipped?
if so rebuild the bin and reburn the chip.

If it's not chipped, it's likely that something is wrong with the traces from the resistors (auto/manual selection) to the micro.
This could also be if the ECU is chipped, the person chipping it wasn't careful and broke one of the traces.

 

Cool Deal, I didnt really think that the chip had anything to do with it. I thought the Chip only contained fuel and ignition maps and stuff. But alrighty then. I will get another chip made then.. Thanks for the information..

 

Check the code inside of the ecu. I have seen several people buy ecus from people & have the outside case miss-matched with an automatic board etc...

The P28 IS socketed. My buddies still got the ECU running his car and I havent seen him in a while. I think we are hoping to find someone here on H-T to purchase one off of.

I think 93turbo16 is the member that made the chip for my P06 before so thats prolly who I'll be talking to, I will get a picture of it up as soon as he brings his car over again. Thanks for the help H-T!!
