Accel wires for a CRX?
Does anyone know anything about these? They are 8mm. I am thinking of getting some for me car with a set of NGK plugs. Do you all know if the wires are all one peice with a simply application? I don't know anything about plugs and wires. I just don't want to spend a lot of money.
Thanks.
Thanks.
Had a set on my old ZC motor. Very easy to install. Just take the old wires off one by one and install a new one as you take the old one off. Most wires are the same. They don't do anything for performance except make things smoother and limit radio interfernce. It is a really easy job and should only take about 15 mins.
Good Luck

accel ferio are pretty cheap at either http://www.jcwhitney.com or http://www.procarparts.com ...they are decent construction and much cheaper than magnecor or neuspeed wires
they should be just as easy to install as stock plugs, although, personally i wouldn't waste my money on them. people say that since the wire is bigger you will get a bigger spark so it'll make it faster. but how is a bigger spark any better?? the small sparks will ingite the fuel just as fast, so why not just stick with the stock wires?
thats just my opinion, and ill probably get flamed for saying this.

Your probably just better off getting OEM... When I had my sc installed, I was running Accel wires. Was told to get rid of them ASAP, and go back with stock... hehehe
Here is some info, about plug wires in general:

I also had a set of Accel wires as well....didn't really notice any improvement though-felt the same. I doubt any will do you much. As far as install, I was able to do it in 10 minutes...very easy, trust me. Why not just stick to your stock ones unless they are bad?
I've actually got a set of those for sale right now, brand new.

The Accel wires are fine on my 96 Civic 1.6 and I've used them on many other cars over the years. I also will recommend that you consider the NGK Blue wires as they are virtually identical to the stock ones in appearance. However, both the NGK and Accel do have much lower resistance than stock-which is good for overall engine performance. The stock wires will indeed last "forever" as witnessed by my 89 CRX that I just changed the code dated 1989 Sumitomo wires for a new set of Honda ones.
I do have a set of NGKs to put on this car in time along with a set for the Prelude.
You don't need the larger insulation (8.5mm and up) for a daily driver or NA engine.
