My Chipped/Socketed ECU Questions
Hey,
Just picked up a Chipped/Socketed P61 ECU from the user " gsrhb7" on HT. When he sent me a picture he didn't take a picture of the harness that was tucked underneath one of the boards. Also theres a 4-pin thats just open...and the harness thats grounded in the picture is a 3-pin.
Can someone please tell me what the hell that stuff is used for cause the seller didnt mention anything about it...

That plug thats grounded with the yellow wire....
What does that do exactly?
Can i run the ECU with that not grounded or what?
I posted this on PGMFI but that forum is kinda slow.

This post sums it up... <TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote »</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">pgmfi rtp.... need jumper to remake trace cut...</TD></TR></TABLE>
(I didn't recognize it at first)
the jumper is in place to bypass the modification made to the ECU. It needs to be there so the ECU can operate like normal.
If you'd like to be able to pull that plug out, solder in a jumper to connect the two locations.
But it will work fine with it in there.
