howz ur mpg on the sv? i get like 33-35 mpg on mine, which isn't all that great

SV's are like 55mpg all day. My zx10r gets around 36 and my zx6r gets aronud 43. Still, my 4 gallon tank costs me almost $20 to fill it now. ouch!

 

Here in SC it cost me about $15-17 to fill up from a few miles after low fuel light comes on. With the RC51 the fill ups come close together as much as I ride..

 

Send me some cheap Supersports and Supermotards, I'll send some barrels of cheap gas

 

tell me about it, i only got 8 grand from carmax for my 03 h2 it only had 79k miles... no one's buying suv's. i don't see gas prices coming down any time soon and couldn't justify spending $5 for every 8-10 miles i drive.. oh well.. motosickles ftw!!!

They do suck but when I fill my bike up at $15 it doesn't bother me too much compared to the $105 it takes to fill my truck up.

yup, $80 for my truck...ridiculus

 

I went to LV for 1 night. Filled up my Sequoia before I left for $90. Then $75 for the trip back because I had a little left. Then another $75 when I got home to fill up for the work week. It cost me $240 for a 1 night trip to vegas.

That is one thing I do not get, people in the UK, Europe and Asia have been paying over double what we pay for quite a while now.....yet I do not hear them bitching. It is part of life if you want to drive gas guzzlers. Why do you think that so many Europeans and Asians ride motorcycles and scooters. It has become a way of life.

im getting 39-40 consistently unless im really pushing it

i have a full exhaust system with air filter and a rejet.

I hear stock sv's get mid 50s all the time before those mods.

I think the US's population is actually gett dumber and lazier as the years go. I think our peak in intelligence and work ethic in the United States comes from the late 70's to early 80's generation. Anything after that has the "you owe me" mentality that needs to be beat out of them with a 5lb red hot poker.

More scholars came out of that generation than any other in history, and the current technological advances are mostly coming from that generation.

 

But americans can't complain...most of the time, in the rest of the world cars and bikes in general are more expensive, or harder for a person to buy.

So, in the end, it all evens out

Then you aren't listening hard enough. Just last week there were strikes / protests in Northern Europe

 

I am trying to prove a point.

If Europeans had to pay what we do then they would jump for joy. I can always be worse. Americans always bitch over **** that is miniscule compared to other countries problems.

Why so you save the extra 60 cents a full up? Hell even in my car premium only costs me a couple bucks more per fill up.

um, I grew up there, and that's all my neighbors bitched about were the petrol prices, And the scot's controlling parliament...Not sure what part of the UK you were in...
