what does a bad input shaft bearing sound like i replaced my throw out bearing some of the sound went away

 

The sound of a bad input shaft bearing usually will go away when the depressing the clutch pedal, because you are taking the load off of the bearing. My input shaft bearing is starting to go, and it sounds somewhat like a humming noise when the car is sitting in neutral. Im sure it can make a lot of different sounds depending on the condition of the bearing.
