Does the stock shift **** on a 5 spd 1990 accord just screw off? If anybody has a pic of one could you please post it, and if possible give me an estimate on how deep the threads go? I want to machine a **** for my friend as a gift.

you pull down on the boot, or use a small screwdriver to pry if off the ****, then it just twists off.

goes down, maybe 1 1/4 inches.

thread pitch is 10x1.5 if that helps.
