well as long as you keep it up to date like timing belt and headgasket water pump but 200k not that bad as long as you don't beat on it

Wow, lay off the meth, dude. Just keep driving until you have enough for an engine. Cars don't automatically expire at 200k, lol.

i was just bumping about the headgasket question ,
and anything else you guys might check out once you car gets up there in the miles id like to know so i can check it out if i havent already

the only thing that seems to be wrong with the car is the bouncing idle and it dosent get 40+ mpgs like other d15z1s but other than that i think shes doing alright

Bouncing idle sounds like a sensor or vacuum leak. Nothing serious. As for mileage, not every Civic can get 40mpg; that's in fact rare and takes careful driving. Just be happy with it.

Agreed! Spend your money on wiser things like education or investments/savings.

He? You asked the question. You said in your original psst that you don't have the money to buy a new motor for 4 months. Am I missing something here?

Amazingly enough, you aren't the first to ask that! Try a search.

changing a head gasket would require a little bit of knowledge about the motor but if you are good with directions then a haynes/chilton manual will do you fine.

If the headgasket isnt blown then dont change it you will just be throwing more money in a motor youre not going to keep anyway and 200K is no big deal for any honda
