I've seen a couple Accord with mud guards behind the rear wheels... were they factory options, or did some one just bolt up a set of front mud guards to their vehicle?

I must admit that they did look good.

 

They are available as an Accessory, however for your year you might need to find them as old stock from a dealer parts dept. search.
As I understand it ,American Honda only carries accessory parts for ten years, going back from current production.
