I noticed this today while driving home, I'm not sure how long this has been going on, but

usually 80mph (5th gear) is at 4k, but now 80mph is 3.5rpms

and

40mph (2nd gear) is at 4k, is now 4.5k

theoretically 80 should be 4.5 to right, if something was off, or the rpms were shifted somehow.

This is on my 1992 DA, B18b1, stock Ls tranny.

the alignment is off a little bit, I got new tires about a month ago, but they are the same size as the previous ones I had on. I really just noticed it today. Could my cluster be going bad, or VSS? Any idea or anything to test/check?

before people bitch, I searched but couldn't find anything relevant.

nope, 80mph is 3.5k rpms on an ls tranny. the old ys1 ls tranny is 4k i think. not sure about 40mph in second, never shifted that high.

i'm running the original 92 ys1 big spline tranny, The DC LS trannys have a different 5th gear I believe, Maybe I just have not looked at my cluster in awhile. It just feels off for some reason.
