Well im thinking of buying a built engine that has been sitting for almost 2 years, now im not sure if the guy put any type of oil in the engine or not, but what should i do before i go and crank it, ive been told to put oil of some type in the engine and let it sit for a while then crank it over with a breaker bar, any other tips? Ive also been told that its bad for built blocks to sit for a long period of time. This true?
i wouldnt buy a built motor from someone unless i knew the person that built it and that they had done everything correctly. my friend just bought two built motors in a row that turned out to be junk and neither of them were cheap or had cheap parts they were just poorly assembled. save your money !!!!!!!!

these are the only questions that the op needs answered, im sure he can make an intelligent decision on whether or not to buy an already built motor. why eff up the thread with useless garbage? to the op, i dont know, but i am also curious.
