DOHC ZC question

Default DOHC ZC question

alright im having some trouble here and im spend alot of money on transmissions t hat didn't fit. what transmission will bolt up to a dohc ZC. please help.

Answer, any d series.....and of coarse if you are using an EF, you want a cable one. Any 1988-91 will fit, the Si model has the best gearing

If you are using d trannys, are you sure that you got the right engine and not a browntop?

i got one from a integra b18...... are you serious a D series tranny like from a d16a6 or something.... and yes its in a EF civic hatch

Dude!! A zc is a "D" series engine, why the hell would you try and mount a B series gearbox, no wonder it won't fit.

You should really do some research on your engine.

seriously do some research, it will save you A LOT of time, money, and headaches

because it was a DOHC and integras have the B18 DOHC so i just assumed....put 2 and 2 togeather.. man!!!!

Once again, do some research

The zc is very similar to the D16A1 found in the 1986-1989 Integra......d series dohc

alright now when choosing a tranny so i have to pay attention to the how many splines or anything???!!

There are two cable d series tranny's out there. One is 20 and the other is 21, i don't recall which, but one is an oddball found in 1988 models. Either will work fine as long as you have the matching clutch disk for the corresponding amount of splines.
