Default Need to pick up an R from out of state, whats a good half-way point between California and Missouri?

Basically, I'm looking at meeting the seller half way. Its 1500 miles from my house to st. louis, where the car is located, so I need a major city roughly 750 miles away. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

thanks

hit up http://www.mapquest.com and see what's in the center...maybe somewhere in CO or UT would be the best bets for approx halfway

Yea, I just did that Jason and it seems that salt lake city in Utah is roughly 650mi, its the closest major city I know of.

wow.. you found one out of STL? I lived there until a year ago and never saw one til I moved to the east coast.. I would suggest either Denver, or Salt Lake City, depending on how far each is willing to go.. they would both make good cities to meet in..

Well, if I were traveling from St. Louis to Los Angeles, I would want to take the shortest route, which is I-44 to Oklahoma City, then I-40 to Barstow. So I would choose a city along that route.

If you meet in Albuquerque:
from STL - 1060 miles
from LAX - 800 miles

If you meet in Amarillo:
from STL - 770 miles
from LAX - 1090 miles

Not much in between the two that would be more exactly halfway...

Its 1500 miles from my house to st. louis
It's a lot more than that, unless you live in Needles (1580 miles from STL)...
