Let me be more specific in the location. I'm down south of Daygo. Paradise Hills. None of the surrounding areas are any good. I've been going to super sergios off sweetwater. Not very good. I'm looking for the meat to be a little burnt and crispy not soggy. Of course it should taste good too. I'm new to the area cause I used to live up north Mira mesa. Albertos was the best.

u'd be suprised...i lived in SD for 3 years and theres nothing good local except for a taco truck by the trolly station off of iris ave is all ur gonna find thats good on this side of the border

youre absolutely right! there are not very many good places for a carne asada burrito. im from san bernardino/riverside area and i just moved to san diego. ive been coming here on a weekly basis since 2000.... but anyways... from my experiences, down in san diego, its gonna be pretty hard to top albertos. albertos is a beast! a lot of places down here are not so authentic. listen to XANTHODC2R. go up there and grab some food. im pretty sure you wont regret it.

Hands down Santana's buts its in the desert but way worth the drive if you ask me. Well maybe not worth the drive but its ****ing bomb.

There's a Lolita's if you take Briarwood into Bonita, it's at the corner of Bonita Rd and Otay Lakes Rd. Probably only 10 minutes away regardless of which part of Paradise Hills you're in. If you don't mind driving, hit up JV's near Old Town. Their surf n turf burrito is gigantic (definitely recommend trying that one but share it with someone).

Yeah I tried Lolita's Carna asada last night in bonita. Its good but it wasn't the same as the Lolita's off the 805 on L st. The one on L st was better for some reason.

try el indio off of washington street near downtown. a lil pricey for a fast food spot but quality food every time.

i like lolitas but sometimes their burritos are too small for the price..

they also have a jv's in chula vista but down there they are called colimas on bonita rd and off of 4th ave and the 54 behind the target

i also enjoyed don pedros on 3rd ave

and believe it or not the los panchos isnt bad across the street from southwestern college.

There are lots of different styles of "Mexican Food" but basically Gringos eat Sonora-style (Northern Mexico) Food, sooo...

The further you get away from the border, the worse it is - even a couple of hundred miles makes a huge difference!

Anyway, there are lots of good places in Phoenix, if you're ever over this way.

My favorite joints are Carolina's and El Nuevo Taquito - just don't show up after dark, if you're a peckerwood white boy!

dont know how far you are from esco but hot damn i have to stop by this place everytime im on my way back from Baja they have some seafood deep fried burritos and the food is awesome! 5 stars from me. an old friend from the marines took me there when i went to visit and been going there for about 10 years! you should try it out

Best Carne Asada burritos are at Armandos Mexican Food on Palm Avenue by Imperial Beach.
